The CH5000X is a single bay desktop charger / calibrator for use with the full range* of ‘N’ series smart batteries from Inspired Energy. As a smart charger, the CH5000X communicates with any compatible battery to determine the correct charging voltage (mV) and charging current (mA). This advanced charging method delivers the most safe and efficient charging technique as the battery remains totally in control of the charging process, allowing smart batteries of different voltage, capacity and chemistry to be charged with a single charger.
Compatibility
The CH5000X will charge or calibrate any* Inspired Energy smart battery which part number starts with a letter ‘N’ – this includes the following models: NB2037, NC2040, NC2560, ND2034, ND2037, ND2053, ND2054, ND2057, ND3054, NF2030, NF2040, NF2047, NH2034, NH2054, NH2057, NI1030, NI2020, NI2040, NI3020, NI3040, NJ1020, NL2020, NL2024, NL2044, NL2050 and NL2054.
*The CH5000X will NOT charge the NB4037, NC4040, ND4054 or NE4068 batteries. For these, please select the CH1000X charger.
Power
The CH5000X is supplied with a 60W desktop power supply which accepts 90-260VAC and outputs 24VDC to the charger via a 2.5mm barrel plug. Note that no AC power cord is supplied with the CH5000X - these must be ordered separately according to location.
Calibration Function
The fuel gauge contained within Inspired Energy smart batteries provides a highly accurate estimation of battery capacity, but certain use cases can result in accuracy drift. To correct this, the CH5000X includes a calibration function which charges and discharges any compatible battery, allowing it to relearn its full charge capacity and remaining state of charge. The calibration process is initiated by simply pressing a button on the front of the CH5000X.

Which power cord do I order?
The CH5000X is supplied without a power cord. Please order the following, depending on location:
◾ Order HW0334 for use in Europe
◾ Order HW0335 for use in the USA
◾ Order HW0336 for use in the UK
Note that the CH5000 charger / calibrator has previously been supplied as the CH5000E, CH5000U and CH5000A. These models are the same product as the CH5000X but were supplied with the HW0334, HW0335 and HW0336 power cords. These part numbers are no longer available from Accutronics, allowing customers to purchase the CH5000X and select their own power cord if required.
