The ATA002 is a USB port Smart SMBus battery analyzer with battery data read & write capability. Using a USB-powered interface the ATA002 allows the user to interrogate smart SMBus battery packs & write to those fields which are user adjustable. In addition the ATA002 monitors the messages issued by the battery to the host device &/or charger & displays them as a scrolling log file of communications activity.

Data can be written to a log file to maintain a permanent record of each battery tested.

The ATA002 supports the following Smart Battery Data fields:

Manufacturer's Access*, Remaining Capacity Alarm*, Remaining Time Alarm*, Battery Mode*, At Rate*, At Rate Time To Full, At Rate Time to Empty, At Rate OK, Temperature (°K &  °C), Terminal Voltage (mV), Current (mA), Average Current (mA), Max Error (%), Relative State of Charge (%), Serial Number, Manufacturer's  Name, Device Name, Device Chemistry, Manufacturer's Data, Absolute State of Charge (%), Remaining Capacity (mAh), Full Charge Capacity (mAh), Run Time to Empty (mins), Avg Time to Empty (mins), Average Time to Full (mins), Charge Current (mA), Charge Voltage (mV), Battery Status, Cycle Count, Design Capacity (mAh)*, Design Voltage (mV), Smart Battery Version #, Date Of Manufacture.

*denotes fieldsthat are settable by the user.
